Objectives
At the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Outline indications for IV insulin for the treatment of hyperglycemia, DKA, HHS.
  2. Describe how to order the glycemic management software system in the EMR.
  3. Recognize the opportunity for outpatient insulin recommendations at the time of discharge.
  4. Identify the indications and timing for conversion from IV to subcutaneous insulin therapy.
