1. Recognize that continuous oral contraceptives may lead to an average of 4 days less of dysmenorrhea when compared to cyclic oral contraceptives.
2. Recognize that available evidence does not show a difference in severity, frequency, or recurrence of dysmenorrhea, and days of days when dysmenorrhea interfered with daily activity.
3. Recognize that the quality of evidence of low and a need for higher-quality RCT to address the knowledge gap.
