Overview
The intent of Schwartz Rounds and case studies selected by the campus are to serve as a catalyst for open discussion and support of the emotional stress this causes for the healthcare professional, as well as avenues for support.

Objectives
  1. Identify emotional and psychological characteristics and the toll associated with care of the acutely ill patient on family and caregivers
  2. Describe the correlation between care of the acutely ill patient and emotional toll on providers
  3. Discover the strategies to deescalate emotional stress related to care of the acutely ill patient
