Overview
This activity discusses updates, diagnostic tools, and treatment options for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  1. Discuss the appropriate evaluation for CTEPH of a patient with unresolved symptoms after a pulmonary emboli or with pulmonary hypertension.
  2. Discuss the indications for pulmonary artery thromboendarterectomoy and what the expected outcomes are.
  3. Discuss the role of balloon pulmonary angioplasty and what the expected outcomes are.
  4. Discuss the role of medical management in patients with CTEPH.
