Overview
This module discusses aortic root aneurysms in pediatric patients, diagnostic groups who develop aneurysms in the pediatric population, indications for aortic root intervention, and the different surgical techniques for this disease.

Objectives

At the end of this course, participants should be able to:
  1. Understand different diseases that are associated with aortic aneurysms in the pediatric age group.
  2. Understand the indications for surgical intervention in pediatric patients with aortic aneurysms.
  3. Understand the different procedures available to pediatric patients with aortic root aneurysms.
  4. Understand outcomes and postoperative complications associated with surgical intervention in children with aortic root aneurysms.
